APIIT teaching resources including fully equipped lecture and syndicate rooms, library, and computer and multi-media laboratories are amongst the best in the country and comparable to facilities available in developed countries. The state of the art hi-tech working environment is designed to create an environment conducive to learning.

Classroom and Syndicate Learning Facilities
At APIIT- Sri Lanka, learning is an interactive, dynamic process.  The classroom and syndicate learning facilities enable students to work together throughout their course by continuously sharing new ideas and knowledge.   Group activities are promoted and the students, while acquiring subject competence, also pick up important soft skills such as analytical skills and team working skills.  The result of this innovative teaching/learning process is the production of work-ready professionals.

IT Infrastructure
Being a leading higher education institute in Sri Lanka, APIIT invests heavily on improving its IT infrastructure; latest hardware and software are acquired to ensure that the students are exposed to cutting edge technologies. At present, there are six computer laboratories with over 200 computers, of which, the majority are Intel Pentium Core Duo and Core 2 Duo based HP PCs. All computers are networked and are connected to the Internet through high speed broadband links.

A secure wireless network based on IEEE 802.11g standard spans the entire campus enabling students to work in any location, be it a syndicate room or the recreation area, with their laptop computers and PDAs.

Students are exposed to a wide variety of platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Linux and Solaris and to latest technologies such as Visual Studio, .NET 2005, Java, Oracle 10g, MS SQL Server etc.

Various support systems, some developed in-house, are implemented to provide support services to students and staff. Some of these support services are:

Library Resource Centre
APIIT Library is an excellent Resource Centre with a well maintained collection of text books, CDs, magazines and journals. Through our inter-library services, students gain access to resources of Staffordshire University and APIIT Malaysia. In addition, students are provided with access to world renowned digital libraries.  Library support services assist students to acquire recommended text books.  The overarching goal of the Library Resource Centre is to support a distinct learning culture.

Recreational Facilities
APIIT-Sri Lanka has set aside the 6th Floor of the APIIT Building for recreation, enabling students to engage in indoor games and recreational activities.

Student Activity Club organises a wide range of events including outdoor games and social gatherings. Monthly movies and sports events such as cricket, rugby and basketball are popular amongst the students.
