Introduction
The APIIT Graduate School offers two distinctive MSc Programmes, namely, MSc in Computing and MSc in Technology Management.  Students have to complete 9 taught modules of 15 credits each and a dissertation worth 45 credits in the selected programme for the Masters Award.

The Masters Programmes have a modular framework and comprise three levels of award: Post-Graduate Certificate, Post-Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree. Depending on the number of credits earned, students would be awarded a Post-Graduate Certificate (PgC), Post-Graduate Diploma (PgD), and/ or Master of Science Degree (MSc) in the relevant field.  The degrees are awarded by Staffordshire University in the UK.

The Mission of the Graduate School is to produce highly competent professionals who are globally competitive in the relevant fields. This will be achieved through attention to the following:

Courses
APIIT Graduate School offers two Masters Programmes:

     Master of Science in Computing (MSc in Computing)
     Master of Science in Technology Management (MSc in Technology Management)
Modular Framework
The Modular Masters’ framework requires the following credits to be completed successfully at each level of study:

     60 credits for Post-graduate Certificate
     120 credits for Post-graduate Diploma
     180 credits for Masters Degree

(15 credits = 150 learning hours (normally 48 direct teaching hours))

Admission Requirements
General admission policy to enrol in a postgraduate programme is a Bachelors Degree equal to or higher than a Second Class Lower Division (2:2).  However students will also be accepted for the postgraduate programmes based on experience and other qualifications. The overall objective is to ensure that the students are likely to be successful and benefit from the respective study programme.

Duration
2 years (part-time).  The programme will be conducted in the evenings and weekends to facilitate participation of the working professionals/ executives.
 
Examination and Assessment
Assessment methods will vary between modules but the overall strategy is to have a balanced set of assessments across a variety of methods that will include individual coursework assignments, group-work assignments, presentations, demonstrations, written reports, end-of-module examinations, and oral viva.  The length of assessment will depend upon the number of credits per module.  As a rule a 15 credit module will require a 3,000 word assignment or a 3 hour exam, or some pro rata combination of the two.

The examinations and assessments are moderated by Staffordshire University Examiners and University Examiners external to Staffordshire University. The Degrees are awarded by Staffordshire University, United Kingdom.
