Staffordshire University, a major player in international education was established in the 1900s.
The University has a student population of approximately
9,000 full-time and 5,200 part-time students. In addition,
the University has some 5,000 students studying overseas
on Staffordshire University awards in China, Malaysia, Singapore,
Hong Kong, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Greece, Spain and
France.
The Computing School of the University is one of only two
computing schools in the UK which celebrated 35 years of
computing degree provision in year 2000. The School opened
its doors to computing degree students in 1965. Since then, 5,000 students from the UK and overseas have successfully graduated with Staffordshire University Computing Degrees.
The Business School focuses highly on international education
and has more than 50 partner institutes worldwide and runs
more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It has close associations with industrial firms, such as Rolls-Royce, Aerospace, JCB, Wedgwood and Pirelli.
APIIT has a long-standing relationship with Staffordshire
University (UK). The relationship is based on a shared vision,
which encompasses a commitment to provide learning experiences
of high quality, recognition of the importance of equal
opportunity, and the training of graduates who will be immediately
effective in employment.
APIIT Diploma and Higher Diploma programmes are quality
assured by Staffordshire University; UK; these provide a
pathway to enter higher levels of relevant foreign degree
programmes. The degree programmes offered at APIIT are internal
degree programmes of Staffordshire University and the certificates
awarded by the University are identical to those awarded
to internal students studying in the UK.
