BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Network Computing)

Specialise in secure networks and operating system security.

You will learn about the general area of computing and then enhance this knowledge in terms of communications and forensic security technology. Additionally, we have adopted the CISCO academy programs to ensure that you get the opportunity to gain the current CISCO academy certifications, in addition to your University degree – a combination highly valued by graduate recruiters in industry.

Teaching and Learning

You will learn through lectures, tutorials and workshops. Lectures are highly interactive and incorporate group discussions, video presentations, and activity based learning. Learning activities are designed to develop soft skills as well as your ability to work independently and as part of a group. Admission Requirements

The minimum qualifications required for admission are: GCE Advanced Level with 2 Passes or 2 Credit Passes (for Accelerated programmes) with a Credit Passes for English at the GCE (Ordinary Level)
or
GCE Advanced Level (London, Cambridge or Edexcel) with 2 passes or 2 Credit Passes (for Accelerated programmes) or
Successful completion of the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology Degree Foundation or
Equivalent
You may apply pending A/L results. Applicants with additional qualifications may receive advanced entry.

Career Opportunities

You will be able to commence your career as an Associate Software Engineer, Application Developer, Web Engineer, Web Developer or Quality Assurance Engineer.
